From humble beginnings to national momentum, WasteCo’s journey is built on grit, growth and a genuine commitment to doing things differently.
More than a decade ago, founders Carl Storm and James Redmayne set out with just three sweeper trucks in Christchurch and a bold vision to take a smarter, more sustainable approach to waste. Backed by family, friends and a handful of loyal customers, they built a company grounded in honesty, hard work and a ‘say yes’ mindset, no matter the challenge.
That promise to be solutions-first still drives us today. It has helped us grow from a local team into one of New Zealand’s leading full-service waste providers, trusted by councils, businesses and communities alike.
We now offer everything from medical and quarantine waste treatment to waste oil recovery, sweeping services, purpose-built sorting facilities, Portaloos and full-spectrum waste collection. Along the way, we’ve invested in our people, technology and infrastructure to scale with confidence while staying true to our roots.
